Giyani Happy Boys head coach, Mpho “Zico” Maleka is currently in Zambia rubbing shoulders with some of their elite players, coaches and administrators. The Mankweng born coach has joined thirty International coaches who are undergoing an important coaching course.
Amongst the elites is former Jomo Cosmos and Zambian International Chris Katongo and the new president of Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Andrew Kamanga.
Maleka was invited by the Zambian Football Association last month to join thirty local and international candidates who are undergoing a Confederation of African Football (CAF) B license coaching course hosted by their country.
He left South Africa a week ago and is expected to remain in Zambia until he completes the course on the 30th of June.
“The Zambian people gave me a hospitable reception. They made me feel like I am home away from home” he said.
The gifted tactician says he will stay in Zambia a week more just to explore opportunities for future engagements.
