It is all systems go for the SAB inter-Provincial playoffs this weekend at Nkowankowa Stadium regardless of the pending arbitration verdict expected to be released on Thurday, 27 July.

This was confirmed by SAFA Provincial Chairperson, Jack Maluleke. Maluleke said according to the SAFA statutes the arbitration was the last resort to settling disputes therefore there won’t be any postponement of games this time around. He furthermore articulated unequivocally that even if one of the two clubs decided to take the matter further to review the association is allowed by law to continue with the games.

“It is within the rights of every team to protest even if at times you can see that some of them are just abusing the system. But they have the right to protest. However according to statutes the arbitration is the last resort in settling disputes, therefore I can confirm that the games will take place as planned” he affirmed.

Five teams representing the five SAFA regions in the province will battle it out for promotion to the ABC Motsepe league this Saturday and Sunday.

The games will be played in a round-robin format and the two teams with the most points will receive automatic promotion to the second division league. Mopani will be represented by Nkowankowa Continental while Mukula Young Santos will represent Vhembe.

 Waterburg and Sekhukhune will be represented by Sunrise and Kingborn respectively while either Lebash or Mohlabine will represent Capricorn depending on the arbitration verdict.

Sunday:  Sunrise vs Mukula Young Santos (08h00), Continental vs Libash/Mohlabine (10h00), Young Santos vs Kingborn (12h00), Sunrise vs Libash/Mohlabine (14h00), Kingborn vs Continental (16h00).
