Katlego Fatsuma (25) appeared in the Kgapane Magistrate Court for illegal possession of Pangolin.

Katlego Fatsuma (25) appeared in the Kgapane Magistrate Court for illegal possession of Endangered Species (pangolin) on Tuesday.

The accused was arrested on 06 January 2025 during an operation conducted by the Musina and Polokwane based Hawks, Serious Organise Crime Investigation Units. 

It is alleged that the Hawks obtained intelligence about a person who wanted to sell a pangolin at Ga-Rasodi village in Bolobedu. 

The accused was traced and arrested. He appeared in court, and his matter was postponed to 14 January 2025 for profiling purposes. The suspect remained in custody.

The Acting Provincial Head of the Hawks in Limpopo Province, Brigadier Sicro Schambriel applauded the team for their swift response.
