Sunrise has emerged as the champions of the ABC Motsepe League Stream B after a dramatic last-minute turnaround, surpassing long-time log leaders, The Dolphins.
Initially positioned in third place with 42 points from 19 matches, Sunrise was awarded victories in two contested fixtures against Royal Pirates and Mohlabile. This decision granted them an additional six points and four goals (two per match), bringing their total to 48 points from 21 games prior to the final round.
In a crucial match, Sunrise narrowly defeated second-placed Mighty FC 1-0, raising their final tally to 53 points from 22 matches. Meanwhile, The Dolphins achieved a stunning 12-0 victory over Lebash Academy, but despite their impressive goal count, they finished second with 51 points.
