Motor vehicle loaded with four cattle.

The police urging livestock owners to urgently come forward and identify their animals at Mokopane SPCA.

According to the provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the community assistance led to the four cattle, which had no brand marks, being impounded at Mokopane SPCA on Tuesday, 07 October 2025.

A report indicated that the police were alerted by the Waterberg safety forum about three motor vehicles suspected of stealing livestock along Matlala area.

While on the lookout, for the vehicles along Harry Oppenheimer Road, and Millennium Road, two vehicles sped off at a high speed towards Mokopane,  one vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux with Limpopo registration number loaded with four cattle, was cornered.

The occupants of the Toyota Hilux vehicle fled the scene on foot to the bushes, leaving the vehicle.

The police urge owners of the seized livestock to urgently come forward and identify their livestock at Mokopane SPCA, or contact Polokwane Stocktheft Unit Detective Sergeant Stanley Manaka on 082 319 9532.

Police investigations are ongoing.
