Nkowankowa Continental head coach Peace Khosa is determined to steer his side to their first victory of the season when they face Vondwe XI Bullets this weekend.

The Nkowankowa-based outfit has endured a difficult start to the campaign, finding themselves hovering dangerously in the relegation zone after a string of narrow defeats.

Continental’s tough run has come against some of the strongest teams in the league, with all four losses suffered against the current top four sides. They opened their season with a 3–1 home defeat to second-placed Tzaneen United, followed by a 3–2 loss away to fourth-placed The Dolphins.

Their struggles continued with a 3–2 home defeat to third-placed Mukondeni Young Chiefs, before being edged 2–1 by log leaders Mpheni Defenders.

Despite the setbacks, Coach Peace Khosa remains optimistic, insisting that his youthful squad has shown significant improvement and is ready to turn the corner.

“We are going all out for this one,” said Khosa. “This is a must-win game for us. We must collect maximum points so that we can go into the festive break with at least three points or even a draw.”

The coach draws confidence from last season’s encounters, where Continental defeated Vondwe XI Bullets at Nkowankowa Stadium before narrowly losing the reverse fixture in Venda. With those memories and renewed energy within the camp, Khosa believes his side is capable of delivering the performance needed to spark their season to life.

In a venue change, the crucial fixture will be played at the Westfalia Sports Ground instead of the usual Nkowankowa Stadium. Continental will be hoping the change of scenery brings the change in fortune they desperately need.
