Baroka FC have continued to strengthen their squad after securing the services of a talented left-back Brandon Baloyi, the 24-year-old from Nkowankowa, Tzaneen, has joined the Motsepe Foundation Championship side from Nkowankowa Continental FC, bringing a wealth of experience and skill to the team.

Baloyi’s football journey began at Nkowankowa Barcelona, where he was nurtured by coach Peace Khosa through the junior ranks. He’s gone on to make a name for himself with clubs like Tzaneen United, Mpheni Defenders, and Venda Football Club.

“As a player, you face setbacks, but that’s when you dig deep and keep pushing,” Baloyi says. “I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I know the competition will be tough, but I’m ready to grab it with both hands.”

His former mentor coach Peace Khosa expressed confidence that Bakgakga Ba Mphahlele has found a true talent.

“Brandon’s got the skills, the work ethic, and the hunger to succeed,” Khosa says. “I’m confident he’ll make a huge impact at Baroka FC.”

Baloyi is expected to hit the ground running when Baroka FC travels to Kanyamazane Stadium to face Kruger United on Saturday 24 January 2026 in their Motsepe Foundation Championship clash.
