Ga-Rapitsi based Ramohlala Development is emerging as the team to beat in this season’s Frank Moloto Development League under SAFA in the Greater Letaba Municipality.
The club, located near Kgapane Township, is currently dominating the junior league standings, leading both the Under-13 and Under-15 divisions while also sitting second in the Under-17 category.
Guided by experienced coach Reuben Ramohlala, the team has impressed not only with results but also with its exciting football style and discipline on the field.
In the Under-13 division, Ramohlala Development remains unbeaten after six matches, recording three wins and three draws to collect 12 points. They are only one point ahead of TES Academy, who continue their tradition of being one of the strongest teams in the age group and currently occupy second place.
Ramohlala are also leading the Under-15 standings with 12 points from four matches. Close behind them in second place are Mokwasele Young Killers with seven points from three games. Young Killers, who won the Under-15 title last season, are once again expected to mount a serious challenge.
In the Under-17 race, Mokwasele Young Killers top the standings with 18 points from six games, while Ramohlala Development are second with 12 points from five matches.
Traditional strong teams such as Mashona, Life Academy and Goal Busters have not enjoyed the best start to the season, while newer clubs are still finding their rhythm. Blue Gardens, however, has shown encouraging form in both the Under-15 and Under-17 divisions.
With several competitive clubs chasing honours, the Frank Moloto Development League is shaping up to be an exciting season, but for now Ramohlala Development are setting the pace.
