Ludwick Tshamano “Chucks” Raselaya has finally joined Tzaneen United, months after Mopani Times first reported his impending move to the club.
The former Lebash Football Academy mentor is now part of United’s technical team and will work alongside head coach Thabiso Msongelwa.
Mopani Times previously reported that Chucks and Thabiso Masinga were set to take charge of Tzaneen United as co-coaches. However, the club subsequently appointed Msongelwa, while Masinga did not join the technical team.
Chucks has now arrived at the club and will bring his ABC Motsepe League experience to a Tzaneen United side with ambitions of challenging for honours this season.
It will be the first time Chucks and Msongelwa have worked together.
Msongelwa, who was born in the Eastern Cape, coached Tubatse United in Stream B last season before returning to Tzaneen United.
Their first major assignment will be the Nedbank Cup, with United targeting a place in the Last 32 before turning their attention to the ABC Motsepe League title race.
Tzaneen United finished second in the league last season and will be determined to go one better this campaign.
Chucks’ arrival adds further experience to the technical setup as United look to turn last season’s strong finish into a genuine title challenge.
