Winnerspark legend Isaac “Wacko” Senyolo says the SAB league should be for under aged players.

The Satlaleng mentor whose team finished third in the SAB league last season believes the third tier league should be used to prepare younger players for competitive leagues such as the ABC Motsepe, National First  Division and the Premier Soccer League.

He says under 21 players should be given preference more than the older players because older players are mature enough to compete in bigger leagues at their age.

He mentioned the likes of Siyabonga Mabena who is playing for PSL champions, Sundowns at the age of 16 as a good example. “In other provinces like Gauteng  younger players mature early and are able to play in the NFD and PSL because they get exposed to organised football at an early age while our young players don’t have game time due to older players who should be playing in bigger league,” Wacko said.

PSL teams such as Supersport, Cape Town City, Golden Arrows and Swallows have signed players as young as U-17 and U-19. According to Wacko his Satlaleng team has already signed five young players who are already training with the team in preparation for the new season.

Wacko was part of the Winnerspark team that won promotion to the Nation First Division league in 2001/2 season. He played with the likes of former Orlando Pirates striker Collins Chabalala, Elias Ngoepe and Mpho Maleka to mention just a few
