Continental FC registered their first three points of the season with a convincing 2-0 away win over Vondwe X1 Bullets in Venda, a result that could be the spark they need to escape the relegation battle.

The win came thanks to the tactical partnership of Coach Peace Khosa and his longtime friend Timmy Mashele, who recently joined the Nkowankowa-based side as co-coach. Both coaches are highly respected in provincial soccer circles, with impressive track records of promoting teams from the Hollywoodbets League to the ABC Motsepe League.

Mashele was instrumental in Phalaborwa United’s promotion, while Khosa previously led Continental to similar heights.

Continental’s win moves them to 7 points, just three shy of Lebash Academy, who are second from the bottom on 10 points, and only six behind TTM, showing that a string of victories could put them in a strong position to survive.

The team now has crucial home fixtures ahead: TTM visit Nkowankowa Stadium this Saturday, followed by a clash with Lebash Football Academy on 18 April. Their remaining schedule includes challenging away trips against Badhuza Celtics, White Vultures, and Phalaborwa United.

Notably, the decision regarding the abandoned game against White Vultures could also prove decisive, as those three points may be pivotal in Continental’s survival bid.

If Continental can maintain this momentum, the side looks capable of avoiding relegation, keeping fans hopeful that Nkowankowa Stadium will witness many more vital victories before the season’s end.
