Nkowankowa Continental boosted their survival hopes with an important 2-0 victory over Lebash Academy, moving further away from the relegation zone.

Continental are now third from bottom and six points clear of Lebash Academy. They also sit three points above Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, who have played one game more.

With only two matches remaining, Continental’s position looks encouraging. They could still be awarded three additional points from their abandoned fixture against Selwana White Vultures, which was stopped in the second half after protests over a penalty awarded to Continental at Nkowankowa Stadium. The two teams are set to meet again this weekend at Selwane Sports Ground.

Meanwhile, champions Mpheni Defenders continued their push for an unbeaten season after a 1-1 away draw against Baduzah Celtics. Having already secured the Stream A title, Mpheni now have just two games left to complete the campaign without defeat.

They travel to Musina United this Saturday before finishing the season away to The Dolphins on 02 May. Their main target now is to close the season unbeaten.
