Mamelodi Sundowns women’s team defender Lebogang Ramalepe has been named the Hollywoodbets Super League Player’s Player of the Season, following her outstanding 2023/24 season for Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Team.
Ramalepe, who hails from Ga-Maupa, Bolobedu, was recognized by her peers for her exceptional performance throughout the 2024 season. The prestigious award was presented to her at a glittering awards ceremony held in Midrand on Sunday evening.
The defender played a crucial role in helping her team secure its fifth consecutive league title. In an interview with SABC Sport, Ramalepe expressed her gratitude to her teammates and the technical team for their support throughout the challenging season.
“I’m thrilled to receive this award, as it shows that my hard work and perseverance have paid off,” Ramalepe said. “I couldn’t have done it without my teammates and coaches, who have been instrumental in my success. It’s been a tough journey, but I’m grateful for the opportunity.”
Ramalepe also took the opportunity to thank Sundowns fans for their unwavering support. “Your motivation drives me to achieve more,”
