Musa “America” Nkondo, the head coach of Vondwe X1 Bullets, is unshaken by the challenge posed by the second-placed Selwane White Vultures.
Currently on top of the league standings, Nkondo is certain that his former club, currently in second place with equal points, will not be able to surpass his team. He points out that Vultures have a series of tough matches ahead in the Vembe area, which are bound to result in dropped points.
Highlighting their upcoming games against third-placed Munaca, United Artist in eighth place, and of course, his own team, Bullets, he remains confident. All of these matches are set in the Vembe area, while his squad has just one away fixture against Tzaneen United—a team he has already defeated twice this year with different clubs.
“Our fixture is definitely in our favor. With only one away game against Tzaneen United and the rest at home, we have the advantage. We simply cannot be beaten at Makhonde Stadium,” he declared.
Nkondo is laser-focused on the pivotal match against Mpheni Defenders this Sunday. He is confident that securing positive results will lead them straight to the league championship.
“If we perform strongly against Mpheni this Sunday, it’s a done deal. And keep in mind, both Mpheni and Munaca still have to face each other,” he said, exuding certainty about his team’s path to victory.
