Hollywoodbets League Baobab Stream log leaders FC Rellen delivered a powerful response to recent setbacks when they defeated second-placed Ramaroka Super Aces 2-1 on Saturday, stretching the gap at the top and reigniting their championship momentum.

Coming into the much-anticipated clash, Rellen’s title ambitions appeared to be hanging in the balance following back-to-back defeats, including a loss to their weekend opponents and another to Josy United. Those results had reduced their lead at the summit to a fragile two points, raising serious questions about their ability to sustain the pressure at the top.

However, Saturday’s victory proved decisive.

With composure and determination, Rellen outclassed Ramaroka Super Aces, not only avenging their earlier loss but also restoring a crucial five-point cushion at the top of the standings. With approximately ten matches remaining, the result has given the log leaders renewed confidence and a vital breathing space in what is shaping up to be a fiercely contested title race.

Despite the advantage, the margin remains tight enough to keep the pressure firmly on Rellen, with several challengers still within reach.

Attention now shifts to this weekend, where Rellen will host Mamaila Citizens in what is another must-win encounter. Dropping points at this stage could reopen the race and undo the progress made against Ramaroka.

Head coach Shakes Manyakalla emphasized the importance of discipline and strategy in the remaining fixtures.

“We will be very tactical going forward,” he said. “Every game now is crucial, and we must manage them carefully to keep our hopes of winning the league alive.”

Meanwhile, three-time log leaders Josy United remain firmly in the picture. Despite recent inconsistencies, they still possess the quality and opportunity to mount a late challenge as the season enters its decisive phase.

With ten games left and momentum swinging once again, the Baobab Stream title race is far from over. One thing is certain — the battle for top spot is well and truly on.
