Tshepo Academy coach Tshepo Sebopetsa says popular rumours that he is a player agent are not true.
The 43 year-old former Wits and City Pillars player is a founder of Tshepo Academy in Kgapane Township. His academy specialises in training young players and helping them secure a place in development teams and reserve sides of professional clubs.
So far they have promoted over twenty young players some of whom played in the Premier Soccer League. Players like 24 year-old Winnerspark star midfielder Selby Rapatsa and Tebogo Modiba played for Black Leopards when they were still in the PSL while talented 24 year-old goalkeeper Lethabo Ramaphoko is with PSL side Marumo Gallants.
Other players such as former University of Johannesburg captain Neo Lebopa (23) and talented midfielder Blessing Mahasha (19) play for National First Division side La Masia aka MM Platinum and SAB side Jomo Cosmos FC respectively.
Some of their players played for Marizburg United, TS Galaxy, JDR Stars, Wits University juniors and Swallows FC to mention but a few.
Currently they are having players in both Swallows and Jomo Cosmos developments.
“I am not an agent but a qualified D license coach running a very effective soccer academy. I am doing my best to help our young talented players realize their dream of playing professional football. Of course I have, out of my own generosity, helped other gifted players such as Pretoria University defender Isaac Masia who was not from my academy, but that does not mean I am an agent” said coach Tshepo
“To be an agent one must have a license and I don’t have it” he concluded.
