ABC Motsepe League outfit Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) will step onto one of the country’s grandest stages when they face Orlando Pirates in a Nedbank Cup Last 32 clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Kick-off is set for 15h00.The Venda-based side head into the encounter as clear underdogs, both on paper and in current form. TTM are languishing second from bottom in the ABC Motsepe League and have suffered defeats in two of their recent league outings. Their latest setback came last weekend, a narrow 1–0 loss away to Tzaneen United at Nkowankowa Stadium.

Despite their struggles, the Nedbank Cup presents a different kind of opportunity—one where form often counts for less and belief can shift the balance.

History has shown that cup competitions have little respect for league standings, and TTM will be hoping to draw inspiration from that familiar magic.

The club has struck an optimistic tone ahead of the match, urging supporters to rally behind the team in Durban. Tickets for the fixture are priced at R50, while transport options have been made available to fans at R100 return by bus. For those opting to fly, return flights are priced at R750.

Pirates, one of the country’s most decorated and well-supported clubs, are widely tipped to cruise through the encounter. However, seasoned football followers know better than to write off a motivated lower-league side in a knockout competition.

For TTM, Saturday’s clash is more than just a football match—it is a chance to represent Venda pride on a national platform, to defy expectations, and to remind the country that in the Nedbank Cup, there are no guarantees.

Whether it ends in heartbreak or a famous upset, Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila will arrive in Durban knowing that, for 90 minutes at least, anything is possible.
